Cambodia Condemns Any Opposition to China's Territorial Integrity and Sovereignty

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen confirmed to China's Premier, Li Keqiang, that Cambodia firmly adheres to the "One China Policy" and opposes any actions or words that undermine China's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In a joint statement released by Cambodia and China after the meeting between Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Premier of China, the Cambodian side reaffirmed its resolute adherence to the "One China Policy" and its opposition to any statements or actions undermining China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which includes any form of separatist activities seeking "Taiwanese independence," and any form of external interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states under any pretext.

“Cambodia supports every effort made by China to safeguard its fundamental interests and achieve national reunification,” said the statement.

"The Chinese delegation expressed its appreciation to Cambodia in this regard,” the statement added.
